The COVID-19 pandemic and the new reality of people staying at home have forced church leaders to reexamine what it means to be church and how to pastor their communities. “Now and Next: How the church is changing for good” is a new webinar series from Amplify Media produced to help pastors and other church leaders navigate the new reality.
The Rev. Lisa Yebuah hosts sessions featuring diverse panelists including technology experts, pastors, therapeutic professionals and researchers. Yebuah is lead pastor of the Southeast Raleigh Table, a United Methodist worshipping community in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Developed after a survey to which over 1,000 pastors responded, “Now and Next” addresses challenges including:
- How do we provide virtual and digital worship services?
- How do we stay connected and in relationship as a community?
- How do I communicate effectively when there are so many tools available?
- How do I pastor remotely?
- How will this affect our church work financially and what creative ways can help us overcome these financial burdens?
The first episode aired April 30 with new programs continuing at 2 p.m. CDT each Wednesday and Thursday in May. All sessions are archived after the original showing and may be viewed on-demand. While there is no cost to view, registration is required.
