This Giving Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, your gift can enable the General Commission on the Status and Role of Women (GCSRW), to continue advocating for the full and equal participation of women in the total life and mission of The United Methodist Church.

65 years ago, Maud Jenson was the first woman to be ordained into the Methodist Church. To celebrate this milestone and the legacies of all women serving in the Methodist tradition, GCSRW is launching the 65 for 65 Giving Tuesday Campaign. Give $6.50, $65, $650, or $6,500 in honor of a woman in ministry –clergy or laity— who has made an impact in your life.

In 2022, we are planning the creation and distribution of vital new and exciting resources and programming as we advocate for the full and equal participation of women in The United Methodist Church. Your donation will support ministries including those listed here:
  • Welcoming a Woman Pastor – a resource to help prepare the creation of a nurturing environment for women in leadership at the local church
  • Monthly Lunch and Learns – Zoom trainings on key leadership topics for all women across the connection—Black clergywomen elected to the episcopacy, intersectionality, and wage disparity, revisiting the Equal Rights Amendment.
  • Do No More Harm – a critical new resource seeking to guide all United Methodists through the complaint process, and together with planned trainings across the connection for the prevention of clergy sexual misconduct.
  • Annual Conference Commissions on the Status and Role of Women— providing connectional training opportunities to share ideas and best practices

In the spirit of honoring the women of faith who have been pivotal in your faith journey, join us in the 65 for 65 Campaign to be pivotal in the lives of others.
