Internships
Church and Society’s internships are designed for people interested in educating, advocating and connecting in the intersection of faith and social justice.
Internships
The program provides hands-on work experience, as well as professional and spiritual formation as interns discern vocations in public life. Our full and part-time programs follow the schedule of an academic year.

ETHNIC YOUNG ADULT INTERNS
The Ethnic Young Adult (EYA) program is for young justice seekers willing to unpack their faith and identity and develop a deeper understanding of justice.
Interns gain professional experience by serving with a Church and Society staff four days a week. Interns will be matched with a staff that aligns with interns’ interests and experience.
EYAs engage in weekly seminars & devotions. These sessions are designed to explore various topics related to Church and Society’s mission, vision, and ongoing efforts.
Interns are also introduced to concepts of justice, and spiritual practices, and learn from advocates and faith leaders.
It is an eight-week program during the summer session (June and July).
Interns in this cohort are provided dorm-style housing and live in an intentional community with members of our worldwide UMC connection.
