United Methodist Bishops Call for Prayer and Peace in the New Middle East War

On March 1, 2026, the Council of Bishops of The United Methodist Church issued a pastoral call urging prayer, de-escalation, and renewed commitment to peace amid escalating military conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, emphasizing the protection of innocent lives and the pursuit of justice, reconciliation, and lasting peace.
