The climate justice simulation experience is a resources developed by United Methodist Women to help local communities better understand, advocate for and implement climate justice policies.
Using role-playing exercises, participants are divided up and placed in three zones based on real U.S. communities (one urban, one rural and one indigenous community). The participants become familiar with the way in which climate change is impacting the community and intersects with other issues of environmental and economic justice. As they gain a better understanding of each zone's situation, the teams will develop practical steps to implement climate justice practices in their community.
