In this episode of Digital Lounge, Bill Haden, chairman of the Portland Host Committee for General Conference, discusses his job of recruiting and training more than 600 volunteers to greet the thousands who arrived in Portland, Oregon, from around the world to attend The United Methodist Church's General Conference. Haden and his team were responsible for staffing welcome teams at 12 area hotels and the Portland International Airport, as well as locating interpreters for the non-English speaking visitors.
