Help build a brighter future, one message at a time on GivingTuesday

Help United Methodist Communications (UMCom), the communication agency for The United Methodist Church, continue to build a brighter future for the church and world, one message at a time by participating in GivingTuesday on November 28, 2023.

GivingTuesday is a global day of giving created in 2012 that encourages people, individuals, communities and organizations to do good; it is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

Your financial contribution will help United Methodist Communications to continue to embrace every opportunity to share the transformational story of God's love by equipping communicators, conferences, agencies and local churches to impact their communities across the globe through:

  • Dynamic, inspirational stories and news that connect the church.
  • Local church communication services, training, and resources.
  • Advertising outreach and dedicated evangelism messages.
  • Technology infrastructure and enhanced connectivity.

"As we approach GivingTuesday, we are reminded that our mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world transcends borders, cultures and backgrounds,” said Connor Prusha, development officer of the UMCom Foundation. "Actions of generosity on this day are rooted in a deep love of Christ and the church, forming a universal language of empathy and kindness."

For more than 80 years, United Methodist Communications has told inspirational stories of God's work in the world through The United Methodist Church. In 2022 alone, UMCom served 1,700+ local churches, trained 2,891 church leaders, amassed 8.4 million social media engagements, garnered16.5 million web page views and covered 650+ news stories. The #BeUMC campaign also continued to invite church members to recognize and embrace the values that connect the people of the UMC.

"On GivingTuesday, we show the world we are one in strengthening our mission of connecting and uplifting the people of God called United Methodist,” added Prusha.
