Estate planning is not just for the wealthy. It’s a critical component of financial wellness for anyone who wants to ensure their wishes are carried out and their loved ones are protected.

A comprehensive estate plan helps you:

  • Designate beneficiaries and heirs
  • Provide for loved ones
  • Make important financial decisions
  • Communicate healthcare wishes
  • Support charitable causes and faith-based organizations
  • Gain peace of mind

Think of October as your call to action for your own estate planning:

Schedule an Interactive Estate Planning Workshop either in-person or virtually for your Unit, District, or Conference. Contact ccampos@uwfaith.org for more information.

If you do not have a plan: Consult with an estate planning attorney or financial advisor to begin the process and create essential documents. United Women in Faith can provide a checklist of what you will need to gather before you go to visit these professionals.

If you already have a plan: Review and update your existing plan to ensure it still reflects your current intentions, as major life events can impact your estate.
