Bishops and district superintendents are responsible for ensuring that the church responds to allegations of misconduct by ministerial leaders, attending to both procedural justice and pastoral concern. A trained Response Team is a group of persons with expertise in specific areas of trauma ready to be deployed at the bishop’s command to facilitate the process of healing mandated by the Discipline.
