Abbreviations and Codes

Committee Item Identification Code – This code is used to provide summary information about the committee item.  This code is composed of data contained in the committee item and is formatted as described below:

Legislative Committee ID …………………………… Positions 1-2

Committee Item Number ……………………………... Positions 3-5

Leading zeros are suppressed. The committee item number may take only 1 position.

Separator 1 ………………………………… Next Available Position Value “-“

The type of petition determines the next several positions.

Discipline paragraph number ………XXXX.XX

Or the word, “NonDis” for a petition that does not deal with Discipline paragraphs or resolutions,

Or resolution number………………..RXXXX

Separator 2 ………………………………… Next Available Position Value “-“

The action of the committee determines the next position.

“C” if committee votes Concurrence with the petition,

or “N” if the committee votes Non-concurrence with the petition,

or “A” if the committee votes concurrence with the petition as amended

or “R” if the committee refers the petition to a General Agency.

Petition Identification Code (PIC)  – An identification code created from several pieces of data contained in the petition.  The PIC is used whenever information related to a petition is printed or display.  The PIC and Petition Number are used interchangeable and is formatted as described below:

“C” if Constitutional petition

“D” all other Disciple petitions

“R” All Resolution petitions

“O” All Non Disciplinary petitions, PET_Type = “O”

The financial indicator occupies the next available petition.

Blank if petition does not impact budget,

“$” petition requests more money for an existing line item

“!” petition requests an expenditure for a new line item.
