ARCHIVES & HISTORY CALLS FOR GRANTS/AWARDS APPLICATIONS
Deadline approaching for 2024/2025 academic year

Madison, N.J. – The deadline is approaching to submit applications for grants and awards focused on United Methodist history, particularly as it relates to youth, women, ethnic groups, and archival science. Grants and/or awards are available from the General Commission on Archives and History (GCAH) for qualifying graduate-level students, educators, researchers and MDiv students.

The deadline for award and grant applications is March 17, 2024. The scholarships will be awarded to be used for the 2024-2025 school year. A full list of scholarships and application details can be found at gcah.org.

In 2023, GCAH awarded approximately $20,000 in grants and scholarships.

"Promoting and preserving the history of The United Methodist Church through our Ministry of Memory is at the heart of GCAH's mission," explains Dr. Ashley Boggan D., GCAH general secretary. "By supporting students and researchers with grants and awards, we can encourage and ensure the rich and diverse heritage of the denomination is shared for now and future generations."
