So, grab your sunscreen and get ready to spread the word to those in your community. Here are some friendly tips to market your VBS:

Create buzz with eye-catching flyers: Design colorful flyers with catchy slogans and adorable illustrations. Make sure to include essential details such as dates, times, location and age range. Distribute these flyers at local schools, community centers, libraries and even neighborhood hangouts such as coffee shops and parks.

Get social: Embrace the power of social media! Create Facebook events, tweet about your VBS and share sneak peeks of the fun activities planned. Encourage your church members to share these posts with their networks. You can even create a fun hashtag to accompany your posts and encourage engagement.

Partner with local businesses: Reach out to local businesses, such as daycares, children's stores and family-friendly restaurants, and ask if you can leave some flyers or posters in their establishments. Some businesses might even be willing to sponsor or promote your VBS in exchange for recognition.

Host a kickoff event: Organize a VBS kickoff event to generate excitement. This could be a family-friendly picnic, a carnival-style fair, or a movie night featuring a kid-friendly film. Use this event as an opportunity to share information about your VBS and encourage caregivers to sign up their kids.

Engage the community: Consider hosting a VBS-related community-service project or a family-friendly outreach event. This not only provides a meaningful experience for participants but also helps raise awareness of your VBS within the community.

Offer incentives for early registration: Encourage parents to sign up early by offering incentives such as discounted registration fees, exclusive access to certain activities, or VBS-themed goodies.

Personal invitations: Don't underestimate the power of a personal invitation. Encourage your church members to personally invite their friends, neighbors and co-workers to enroll their kids in VBS. A personal invitation can go a long way in making families feel welcomed and valued.

Utilize local media: Reach out to local newspapers, radio stations and community websites to share information about your VBS. They may be interested in featuring your event in their community calendar or even running a story about it.

Remember, the key to successful VBS marketing is creativity, consistency and community engagement. By implementing these friendly marketing strategies, you'll not only attract local community members but also create lasting memories for the children in your community. So, let's make this VBS the best one yet!
