Love, Serve, Lead: UMC History

August invites us to look back and remember the roots of our Methodist faith. John Wesley’s three simple rules—do no harm, do good, and stay in love with God—continue to guide our shared witness.

This is a time to teach and celebrate the distinct gifts of our Wesleyan heritage. Our history reminds us that faith is always active, seeking holiness of heart and life.

By loving boldly, serving joyfully, and leading courageously, we honor the generations who have gone before us—and prepare the way for those yet to come.
