A key leadership body has given unanimous approval to submitting a proposal to General Conference that aims to give Africa, Europe, the Philippines and the U.S. equal standing in church decision-making. The approval by the Standing Committee on Central Conference Matters puts the legislation on a likely trajectory of making it onto the General Conference floor for consideration by all delegates. The newly released Supplemental ADCA (Vol. 3) contains the new, valid petitions and reports for the upcoming General Conference as well as the Delegate Handbook and delegate list. Translations are available in Français, Kiswahili and Português.

The proposal for a U.S. Regional Conference provides a forum for discussion and action on legal, administrative and financial matters pertaining only to the church in the United States. There is also a chart explaining the stages of the legislation and timeframe.

Budget Legislation

CT Financial Reports to General Conference: The proposal for the quadrennial budget includes the values-based budget allocations proposed by the CT for the World Service Fund, the Black College Fund, Africa University, the Interdenominational Cooperation Fund and the Ministerial Education Fund. These are the reports that delegates will consider for adoption at the 2020 General Conference.
