
This report reviews the results of the 54 discussion groups that gathered in the U.S. to discuss the identity, vision, connectionalism and mission of The UMC.
United Methodists in the U.S. are divided over the future of the church, its teachings regarding human sexuality and other contemporary social issues facing the country. Some type of separation of the denomination over these issues is becoming more likely. The U.S. regional coordinating group heard from a diverse sample of American clergy and laity in the 54 discussions that took place around the country.
