The General Commission on Archives and History is set to be at General Conference 2020 with a booth, trivia night, special themed shirt and more.

Welcome to the General Commission on Archives and History's General Conference page.

You will find all GCAH-related happenings surrounding General Conference 2020, which is being held April 23-May 3, 2024, in Charlotte, N.C., U.S.A.  The legislative gathering, which was delayed multiple times due to the worldwide pandemic, will be historic for numerous reasons and GCAH will be on-site to experience all that occurs, as well has give context to the happenings within the history of the denomination. GCAH also has a special Methodist History Trivia Night planned and will introduce new legislation.

The General Commission on Archives and History is submitting petitions to General Conference 2020 pertaining to record keeping for disaffiliated churches and the acceptance of new United Methodist heritage landmarks.

Five new UMC Heritage sites were approved at the Postponed 2020 General Conference that met April 23-May 3, 2024, in Charlotte, N.C., USA.
